Lost in Lent
Lent was going to be a good time for me to work on my relationship with the Lord. Daily Mass was on my schedule, along with more consistent praying of the Rosary and spiritual reading.
So far, I've missed daily Mass more than I ever did before. As a matter of fact, I have only made ONE weekday Mass since the start of Lent. A friend's aunt asked her where I was. That is just SAD.
To be honest, I need to receive Our Lord in Communion as frequently as possible with all that is going on in my little world. I won't share specifics here for privacy purposes, but let's just say I am CONSTANTLY being humbled by the most recent turn of events in my family.
Perhaps the sufferings I've been encountering could be my Lenten sacrifices instead of what I originally planned.

Imitation of Others' Lives
Everyone seems to have a blog today. I'm not even sure what I could write about, but I don't want to be left out.
First of all, I will disclose that I am in a house of MEN. Yup. Testosterone everywhere. Which means I have no one here who appreciates the things that I do. It's an act of complete charity for my husband to pause Gold Rush long enough for me to share something on the Internet that has made me laugh. Of course, he never gets it. He will usually give my a patronizing smile before clicking the remote and getting back to his program.
Being a SAHM who is pretty much done homeschool our two sons, I've been spending more and more time on the Internet. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I mean--look at all the things one can DO here! I can look up anything I want. Well, that can be a problem for the mere fact that I am pretty sure I have ADD, so having access to so many things at once can create some chaos. Organization is not one of my fortes.
So this is like the third time since 2006 that I "started" a blog. Sad. It seems I rarely finish what I start. If everyone else has a blog, though, why shouldn't I? Who wants to be left out? Right? Who knows! Maybe I'll find some interesting stuff to share here that no one else has ever shared. Ha! I make me laugh. :-D
